A Standstill
The leaves, they fall, as the flowers bloom.
Spring is here, with sun beams dancing across the room.
Eyes closed, breathe deeply,
Revel in the crisp, clean breeze.
A standstill, a moment in time,
While the shower falls, flowing through the clouds that unravel like twine.
Hold my hand, a moment in time,
As golden leaves float from Heaven’s door to mine.
Eyes closed, breathe deeply.
And we fall back, just once,
To a melody so lovely.
